Construction Manager / Construction Project Manager

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects throughout all phases, from pre-construction to handover; develop schedules, budgets, resource plans, and execution strategies.
• Supervise daily site operations and ensure compliance with plans, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients; monitor progress, costs, manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Manage contracts, procurement, subcontractor performance, variations, and change orders.
• Implement health, safety, environmental, and quality-control procedures; identify risks, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare progress reports, project documentation, cost forecasts, and management updates; conduct inspections, coordination meetings, and reviews.
• Maintain stakeholder communication and client relationships; oversee testing, commissioning, defect rectification, and final handover.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant construction experience, including project or site management responsibilities.
• Proven experience managing construction projects, contractors, budgets, schedules, and site teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, project planning, contract administration, and quality management.
• Proficiency in project management tools and construction software; scheduling and cost-control systems knowledge is an advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; strong understanding of construction safety, risk management, and quality assurance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver projects within approved budgets.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel or work on-site as required by project needs.
