The Infrastructure/Construction Manager is a pivotal role within any construction project, responsible for the successful planning, execution, and completion of infrastructure projects.
This role demands a high level of expertise in managing teams, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
The manager must possess strong leadership skills, technical acumen, and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
They will be tasked with ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the requisite quality standards.
The Infrastructure/Construction Manager must be adept at problem-solving and able to cope with the dynamic nature of construction environments, adapting plans and schedules as required to meet the project's objectives.
This position is crucial for the seamless collaboration between the design, engineering, and construction teams to deliver impactful and lasting infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of construction and infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to align project goals and timelines.
- Develop and manage project budgets and ensure cost-efficiency measures are implemented.
- Ensure compliance with construction and safety regulations to mitigate project risks.
- Lead and manage construction teams, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Evaluate project performance and proactively address any potential issues or delays.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Monitor progress and prepare detailed progress reports for stakeholders and management.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Ensure high-quality standards are maintained across all aspects of the project.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Facilitate resolution of project-related disputes and discrepancies effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction or infrastructure management roles.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects successfully.
- Strong knowledge of construction standards, safety regulations, and compliance practices.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools for effective resource management.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification preferred.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and environments effectively.
