Responsibilities
- Oversees establishment of the Construction Management Plan, Site Specific Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.
- Works to devise and executes action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work; advises the client and company management of any such changes
- Acts as the contractor’s representative with the client, subcontractors and suppliers during the project execution
- Procurement – Prepares purchase requisitions and procures items necessary for the operation of the field office
- Establishes procedures for the administration of all field vehicles and equipment; maintains necessary status logs and reports
- Coordinates the drafting of requisitions, subcontract scopes of work, amendments, and task orders
- Monitors contractor's expenses versus budget. Prepares draft amendments if required
- Manages current and timely change orders
- Cost Engineering – Supervises the preparation of the contractors monthly construction progress report and the contract status report
- Prepares WBS, budgets and forecasts
- Supervises development of the monthly invoices, reviews for accuracy. Reviews and approves subcontractor invoices
- Prepares quarterly construction management reports and coordinates meetings
- Inspects the construction site weekly with the sub-contractor's safety representatives
Qualifications
- 10 years total experience in Roads and Infrastructure Projects
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Project Management skills
