Key responsibilities
- Verify adherence to Operational and Infrastructure Safety Certificate and Ministry of Transport requirements.
- Ensure service providers comply with EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, IEC 61508, or equivalent standards.
- Administer and improve the Hazard Management and Hazard Log system; analyze data to improve operational safety.
- Conduct and update HAZID and HAZOP activities in support of Safety Review Board meetings.
- Review tram safety cases and verify that risks and mitigation measures are addressed.
- Carry out service-provider safety inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and verify compliance.
- Review policies and procedures to keep them aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Work with operations and maintenance teams to integrate safety and risk controls into daily operations.
- Support FRACAS, FRB, and root cause analysis to identify equipment reliability issues and corrective actions.
- Review system architecture models and RAMS analyses; coordinate operational reliability requirements.
- Lead assurance teams covering RAM, EMC, Fire & Life Safety, and Human Factors.
Knowledge, skills & experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant field.
- 6–8 years of relevant full-time system assurance experience in operational railways, including two years at supervisory level.
- Good knowledge of the Ministry of Transport Railway Safety Regulation Authority requirements.
- Ability to gather and analyze audit evidence and assess compliance with standards and regulations.
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and hazard log software such as Comply Pro.
- ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 internal or lead auditor certification is desirable.
- Incident investigation skills are desirable; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
