Compliance Officer

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with UAE insurance and regulatory requirements.
• Act as liaison with regulators and manage inspections, RFIs, and reporting.
• Implement and oversee AML/CFT framework as per
• UAE Federal Decree Law No. 20 of 2018
• Conduct CDD/EDD, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring.
• Report suspicious transactions via goAML
• Develop and maintain compliance, AML, and sanctions policies.
• Perform risk assessments (EWRA) and monitor high-risk clients.
• Ensure compliance with Targeted Financial Sanctions (TFS).
• Conduct staff training and promote compliance awareness.
• Support internal/external audits and close audit findings.
• Maintain regulatory records (minimum 5 years).
• Advise management on compliance risks and regulatory changes.**Qualifications & Experience**
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, or related field.
• 1–3 years of compliance/AML experience (UAE financial services/insurance preferred).
• Certifications (preferred): CAMS / ICA or equivalent.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of UAE regulatory framework (CBUAE).
• AML/CFT and sanctions expertise.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and risk-focused mindset.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Regulatory Requirement

• Must meet “Fit & Proper” criteria and obtain approval from the Central Bank of the UAE (if applicable).

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure full regulatory compliance.
• Timely reporting of suspicious activities.
• Effective implementation of AML/CFT controls.
• Successful audit and regulatory inspection outcomes.

Salary

• AED 6000-7000 per month
