Key Responsibilities
- Assisting individuals in accessing mental health, medical, financial, and housing services
- Providing direct support for essential needs like food, shelter, and clothing during times of crisis
- Coaching and training in independent living skills such as budgeting, transportation, and self-care
- Helping individuals navigate community resources for long-term support and stability
- Following up on appointments and assisting with forms, documentation, and applications
- Providing transportation when needed to support access to care and services
Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Have a heart for crisis response and want to be a stabilizing force for people in need
- Understand the importance of empathy, consistency, and advocacy in service delivery
- Are highly organized and resourceful when navigating systems and community supports
- Feel comfortable working in emergency department settings and community environments
- Believe everyone deserves access to the support they need to recover and thrive
