The Commis I - Pastry role is part of the Culinary team at Rosewood Abu Dhabi.
The role reports to the Junior Sous Chef and works with a team of chefs.
Responsibilities
- Support daily operation of the assigned kitchen section.
- Prepare and present dishes according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Prepare and organize mise en place for all service periods.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and hygiene compliance.
- Monitor food quality, consistency, and portion control.
- Support junior culinary associates and maintain kitchen standards and operational efficiency.
- Keep the kitchen clean, safe, and organized; use and care for equipment properly.
Candidate requirements
- Professional culinary experience focused on quality and consistency.
- Passion for food, culinary techniques, and continuous learning.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, kitchen operations, and food safety, hygiene, and sanitation.
- Organization and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective English communication and ability to work collaboratively.
