Kitchen preparation and cooking
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing.
- Prepare and cook food to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and preparation checklists; prepare cold foods.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; check cooking progress and monitor food quality.
- Set up and break down the workstation and serve proper portions in appropriate receptacles.
Safety, sanitation, and teamwork
- Wash and disinfect the kitchen, tables, tools, knives, and equipment; check appliance and food temperatures.
- Follow company, safety, and security procedures; complete safety training and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance; protect confidential information and company assets; communicate professionally and support team goals.
- Meet quality standards and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications and physical demands
- Preferred education: high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related work experience; no supervisory experience is specified.
- The role involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
