Commis 2 role focused on pastry production and food preparation at a hotel in Abu Dhabi.
Full-time, non-management position; not remote.
Food preparation and kitchen operations
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing.
- Prepare and cook foods to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and preparation checklists; prepare cold foods.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test doneness and monitor food quality.
- Set up and break down the workstation; serve food in proper portions and receptacles.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment; check appliance and food temperatures.
Safety and workplace conduct
- Follow company, safety, and security policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance; protect confidential information and company assets; communicate professionally and support team goals.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; perform reaching, bending, twisting, and other physical movements.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience preferred.
- No supervisory experience or license/certification specified.
