Role Overview
Support the pastry team at Raffles & Fairmont Doha in preparing and presenting pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked products to hotel standards.

Role overview
Support the pastry team at Raffles & Fairmont Doha in preparing and presenting pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked products to hotel standards.
Work with Pastry Chefs and culinary colleagues to maintain quality, cleanliness, and efficient kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with pastry and dessert preparation, baking, decoration, and presentation.
- Prepare ingredients and use basic pastry techniques according to recipes and instructions.
- Maintain food quality, presentation, hygiene, and sanitation.
- Keep equipment, workstations, and storage areas clean and organized.
- Follow recipes, portion controls, production schedules, and food-safety procedures.
- Assist with mise en place and daily pastry production; store ingredients and finished products properly.
- Support the Pastry Chef and senior team during daily operations and special events.
- Minimize food waste and follow hotel policies, HACCP requirements, and workplace safety standards.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced professional kitchen.
- Attention to detail and presentation; willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs.
- Good teamwork, discipline, and hygiene practices.
- Previous pastry or bakery experience or formal training is advantageous.
- A culinary or pastry qualification is advantageous.
