Commis 1 & 2 role in The Lana's in-room dining kitchen, within Food & Beverage – Kitchen.
The role focuses on preparing and presenting food, maintaining quality, and supporting timely guest service.
What you'll do
- Maintain food quality control, appropriate and timely food rotation, timely service, and high food standards.
- Prepare, cook, and present food while following food safety standards.
- Coordinate daily preparation, food shortages, and seasonal food and beverage activities with the Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine.
- Work with the Sous Chef on the development and execution of new menu ideas.
- Work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining quality.
What you'll bring
- Understand food safety and hygiene.
- Communicate comfortably in English, the hotel's primary language.
- Work collaboratively with the Sous Chef on menu development.
- Multitask and manage time efficiently; demonstrate organization and attention to detail.
- Bring strong communication skills and a customer service ethic.
- Be creative, skilled in cookery, and current with culinary trends.
