Role overview

Food preparation and service

• Prepare special meals or substitute items and prepare cold foods.
• Regulate ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters; retrieve frozen food and thaw it in refrigerated storage.
• Ensure proper portions, arrangement, and garnish; maintain food logs and monitor food quality and quantity.
• Communicate when assistance is needed during busy periods.
• Inform the Chef about excess food for daily specials and tell food and beverage staff about specials and unavailable menu items.
• Cook according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.

Team and safety duties

• Follow company and safety procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
• Maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and address guest service needs.
• Communicate professionally, maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, respond to employee concerns, and uphold quality standards.

Preferred qualifications

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is specified; no license or certification is specified.

Schedule and work setting

• Full-time schedule.
• Located remotely: no; role is based at the Doha hotel.
• The role involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds without assistance.
