Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present hot-kitchen menu items according to approved recipes, portion sizes, and company standards.
• Prepare breakfast dishes, salads, Mexican and Continental dishes, sandwiches, wraps, and other café-style food.
• Carry out daily mise en place and maintain consistency in quality, taste, texture, portioning, and presentation.
• Prepare, store, label, and rotate ingredients in line with food safety standards; follow food-handling practices and HACCP guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas.
• Monitor ingredient usage, minimize waste, and follow portion-control procedures.
• Coordinate with kitchen colleagues for timely service and maintain accuracy and quality during peak hours.
• Assist with stock monitoring, inventory checks, and daily operations; follow the Chef in Charge's instructions.

Candidate requirements

• Previous experience as a Commis I, Demi Chef, or similar hot-kitchen professional is mandatory.
• Practical knowledge of breakfast preparation, salads, Mexican and Continental cuisine, sandwiches, and wraps is required.
• A valid UAE residence visa (own visa) is stated as mandatory.
• Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the UAE, subject to required work-permit arrangements.
• Good understanding of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene standards.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and maintain consistent food quality and presentation.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and ability to work under pressure are required.
• Willingness to work in Al Ain or Abu Dhabi and relocate if required; an in-person practical cooking trial in Al Ain is required.
• Immediate availability or a short notice period is preferred.

Preferred experience

• Previous experience working in a café kitchen is highly preferred.

Pay

• Pay is AED 2,300–3,200 per month.
