Commercial Lending Servicing Specialist

Role overview

Core responsibilities

• Coordinate servicing activities and resolve customer issues with internal and external customers.
• Provide customer service and loan and regulatory diligence while following bank policies and compliance requirements.
• Evaluate and upload data into systems of record.
• Work with Sales, Legal, Control and Risk, Technology, Operations, and other teams to progress customer needs.
• Review and negotiate basic servicing transactions, evaluate risks, recommend mitigation, and identify procedural changes.
• Serve as an escalation point, guide and train peers, and recommend solutions using independent judgment.
• Process servicing requests within service-level agreements and review loan documents and system records for completeness and accuracy.
• Perform assigned payments, modifications, payoffs, disbursements, maintenance requests, and other servicing transactions.
• Maintain accurate system records, identify missing information or discrepancies, and coordinate resolution.
• Meet productivity, quality, timeliness, and compliance expectations; support reporting, training, meetings, and continuous improvement.

Required qualification

• At least 8 years of commercial loan servicing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Desired qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is desired.
• Basic understanding of commercial lending, loan servicing, banking operations, or financial services is desired.
• Attention to detail, accurate transaction processing, good communication, and ability to follow procedures and controls are desired.
• Organizational and time-management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities are desired.
• Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams, is desired.
• Ability to identify discrepancies, escalate issues, collaborate with partners, and learn lending systems and regulatory requirements is desired.
• Experience in commercial lending operations or loan servicing is preferred.
