Commercial Finance Analyst

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Analyze revenue, costs, margins, profitability, and commercial performance indicators to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and periodic performance reviews.
• Prepare management reports, financial models, dashboards, and variance analyses; explain actual results against budgets, forecasts, and history.
• Evaluate pricing, product or service profitability, customer performance, and commercial initiatives.
• Partner across finance, sales, operations, and other teams; assist with business cases, investment assessments, and scenario planning.
• Improve reporting accuracy, data quality, and analysis processes, and present recommendations for planning and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in commercial finance, financial analysis, FP&A, management accounting, or a related field is preferred.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Strong analytical, numerical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills; experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial systems, reporting tools, or business intelligence platforms.
• Ability to interpret financial and operational data, communicate business-focused insights, and manage competing priorities independently.
