is responsible for the overall commercial management, contract administration, and financial control of hyperscale data center projects from contract award through execution, delivery, and close-out.
The role ensures cost efficiency, contractual compliance, risk mitigation, and protection of company interests while supporting successful project delivery in line with client requirements, contractual obligations, and project objectives.
Commercial Management
- Manage overall commercial performance, project budgets, and financial controls.
- Monitor project costs, profitability, and budget utilization.
- Prepare and maintain project cash flow forecasts.
- Ensure cost-effective project delivery aligned with approved budgets.
Contract Administration
- Review, interpret, and administer main contracts and subcontract agreements.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms, project specifications, and client obligations.
- Manage contractual notices, correspondence, records, and documentation.
Procurement & Subcontract Management
- Oversee commercial aspects of procurement and subcontracting activities.
- Review tender evaluations and support contract award recommendations.
- Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure competitive pricing and commercial value throughout the supply chain.
Change Management, Variations & Claims
- Manage variations, change orders, and scope modifications.
- Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate claims and counterclaims.
- Ensure proper documentation, approvals, and commercial justification for all changes.
- Lead commercial negotiations with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
Cost Control & Reporting
- Track project expenditures and financial performance.
- Prepare weekly and monthly commercial reports.
- Develop financial forecasts and variance analysis reports.
- Identify cost risks and implement mitigation measures.
Payment Management
- Prepare and submit Interim Payment Applications (IPA).
- Review and certify subcontractor payment claims.
- Monitor cash flow performance and payment recoveries.
- Resolve payment-related issues with project stakeholders.
Contractual Risk Management
- Identify commercial risks, contractual exposures, and potential liabilities.
- Develop mitigation strategies to protect company interests.
- Maintain contractual records and commercial risk registers.
Dispute Resolution
- Manage contractual disputes and claim-related matters.
- Support negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and settlement processes.
- Ensure legal compliance and proper contractual documentation.
Project Team Coordination
- Work closely with Project Managers, Technical Managers, Procurement Teams, and Planning Teams.
- Ensure commercial activities support project execution strategies and delivery objectives.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and Qatar regulatory requirements.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and governance records.
Project Close-Out
- Lead final account negotiations and settlement activities.
- Manage contract closure, reconciliation, and commercial handover.
- Support lessons learned reviews and final financial reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 12–18 years of experience in Commercial and Contracts Management.
- At least 5–8 years of experience supporting Data Center, Mission Critical, or Critical Infrastructure projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Commercial Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience managing large-scale EPC, construction, or infrastructure contracts.
- Strong exposure to hyperscale data center projects exceeding 20MW IT load.
- Demonstrated experience in contract administration, cost control, commercial management, and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of claims management, variation management, and dispute resolution.
- Experience working within Qatar or GCC construction and infrastructure environments is highly desirable.

- MRICS – Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
- CIPS or Commercial Management Certification
