Position summary
Design, deploy, and manage enterprise systems in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
Build secure, scalable, automated infrastructure supporting Windows-based workloads and hybrid environments.
Maintain availability, performance, and compliance of Azure-hosted services while supporting automation and modernization.
Core responsibilities
- Design Azure IaaS/PaaS solutions using VMs, VNets, NSGs, load balancers, and storage accounts.
- Deploy Windows Server, Active Directory, and hybrid identity solutions using Azure AD Connect.
- Administer Windows servers and SQL, including patching, backup, and configuration management.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Azure using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Maintain infrastructure as code with ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform; automate tasks with PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Azure Automation.
- Implement RBAC, Defender for Cloud, and Azure Policy; support secure configurations, audits, and compliance.
- Support CI/CD with development and DevOps teams and integration with AKS or ACI.
- Configure and monitor backups to business requirements and perform restores; Veeam is noted as an advantage.
Key skills and qualifications
- At least 5 years of cloud infrastructure experience, including 3 or more years in Azure environments.
- Strong Windows and Linux Server administration experience in Azure.
- Proficiency with PowerShell, Azure CLI, and infrastructure automation tools such as ARM, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Understanding of Azure networking, storage, identity and access management, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with Azure AD, hybrid identity, and group policy management.
- Experience with Veeam backup solution.
- Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305), or Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ-800/AZ-801) certifications are preferred.
