Civil Site Engineer

Role summary

Civil and infrastructure works

• Supervise excavation, trenching, shoring, dewatering, and pipeline corridor activities.
• Coordinate work on chambers, concrete structures, road crossings, and reinstatement.
• Coordinate with mechanical, QA/QC, HSE, survey, subcontractor, consultant, and client teams.

Experience and education

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least four years of relevant civil infrastructure or pipeline project experience.
• Experience in district cooling, chilled water pipelines, or underground utility projects; three years in district cooling and chilled water pipeline utility projects is preferred.

Technical knowledge

• Practical knowledge of excavation, trenching, shoring, dewatering, bedding, backfilling, compaction, and reinstatement.
• Experience with valve, drain, and air valve chambers, manholes, thrust blocks, and concrete structures.
• Ability to interpret IFC and shop drawings, profiles, specifications, method statements, and ITPs.
• Coordinate survey setting out, levels, coordinates, alignment, and invert levels.
• Knowledge of underground utilities, utility protection, road crossings, asphalt, paving, and reinstatement.
• Coordinate with mechanical teams on chilled water and district cooling pipeline installation.

Site coordination and compliance

• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, QA/QC, HSE, and site teams.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, materials, progress, and site productivity.
• Familiarity with inspection requests, daily progress reports, material requests, and site documentation.
• Understand quality, HSE, and construction compliance requirements; apply planning, coordination, communication, problem-solving, and site management skills.
