Civil Inspector sought for the employer's supervision team on a project in Abu Dhabi.

- Site supervision duties require physical presence at the project site.
Duties and responsibilities
- Inspect contractor site activities against approved shop drawings, materials, method statements, and ITPs; verify workmanship and material quality.
- Record site progress to assist evaluation of interim payments and report issues that may trigger cost or time claims.
- Liaise with contractor staff and ensure compliance with site HSE procedures.
- Review contractor daily reports; witness sampling and testing; inspect delivered materials and keep records.
- Resolve daily site issues with the Resident Engineer; check and approve day-work records.
- Review weekly and monthly progress reports and attend technical and progress meetings as directed.
- Maintain company quality standards and records in accordance with the quality system.
- Conduct snagging, de-snagging, and handover inspections; record findings to support taking-over certification.
- Inspect and record rectification work during the Defects Liability Period.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- At least 8 years of total experience, including at least 5 years in the UAE and at least 3 years in engineering consultancy.
- Abu Dhabi experience is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, materials, and equipment; ability to interpret plans, specifications, and blueprints.
- Ability to identify construction errors and maintain accurate project records.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
