Join the Construction Supervision team on an infrastructure assignment involving stormwater works, pump stations, and utilities.
Inspect construction, coordinate testing and verification, and maintain site records to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
The position is in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Inspection and construction compliance
- Ensure construction works follow plans and specifications.
- Inspect civil construction for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and workmanship standards.
- Coordinate with contractor foremen and report non-conformances, questionable methods, and deviations to the ARE/RE.
- Process and track Inspection Requests, including records of approvals, rejections, and follow-ups.
Testing, records, and site coordination
- Coordinate sampling and testing with discipline inspectors and laboratories; support QA/QC verification of suspect materials where required.
- Coordinate with surveyors to verify line, level, and grade for ongoing and completed works.
- Maintain daily site diaries and logs covering activities, issues, approved or rejected work, manpower, and equipment as directed.
- Support quantity measurements and records for Day Works where applicable.
- Coordinate professionally with adjacent stakeholders to minimize construction impacts where required.
Health and safety
- Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and promote safe work practices on site.
Required qualifications and experience
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least five years of relevant experience in infrastructure construction supervision.
- Roads and utility project experience is preferred.
- Ability to interpret and enforce engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Strong inspection, reporting, and documentation skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills within a site-based construction environment.
