The employer is seeking an experienced Civil & Excavation Supervisor for its pipeline construction team in Abu Dhabi.
The role supervises civil and excavation activities, site resources, productivity, safety, and daily progress.
Site Supervision
- Supervise daily excavation, trenching, and civil construction activities for pipeline projects.
- Manage manpower, equipment, and site activities against the approved schedule.
- Supervise manual and mechanical excavation, trench preparation, shoring, dewatering, and safe access.
- Coordinate with surveyors on levels, alignment, and excavation depth.
Pipeline and Civil Works
- Supervise pipe-laying support, bedding, sand padding, backfilling, compaction, and reinstatement.
- Ensure excavation works follow approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with engineers, foremen, HSE, QA/QC, and subcontractors.
- Monitor site productivity and proper utilization of manpower and equipment.
Safety and Reporting
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, PTW procedures, and site safety standards.
- Report daily progress, manpower, equipment, and site issues to the Site Engineer or Project Engineer.
- Maintain good housekeeping and control materials and tools at the site.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant technical qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in civil construction and excavation works.
- Strong experience in pipeline projects, trench excavation, backfilling, and reinstatement.
- Good knowledge of excavation safety and site coordination.
- Ability to lead and manage site workers, operators, and helpers.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- UAE or Abu Dhabi project experience is preferred.
- TAQA or ADNOC project experience is advantageous.
Work Location
- The role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE and requires in-person site work.
- The industry is pipeline construction.
