Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support opportunities assigned by the sales team, prioritizing efforts to maximize productivity, profitability, and business impact within banking accounts.
  • Proactively assess banking customer technical and business requirements, identify gaps, and recommend optimal Cisco networking, security, and infrastructure solutions that deliver value to the customer and organization.
  • Gather input from relevant stakeholders within banking environments and tailor solutions to ensure alignment with enterprise and operational requirements.
  • Work closely with internal sales, presales, support, and service delivery teams to align solution designs with banking customer business objectives.
  • Achieve assigned targets for profitable sales growth across designated Cisco product lines within banking accounts.
  • Mentor and coach sales team members to strengthen Cisco product knowledge, technical expertise, and solution-selling capabilities.
  • Identify and pursue additional business opportunities within existing banking customer accounts and collaborate with sales teams to drive closure.
  • Consistently achieve assigned revenue and profitability goals.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction in line with company standards and expectations.
  • Complete all required Cisco training and professional development programs within assigned timelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with account managers, sales teams, and banking customers throughout the sales lifecycle.
  • Support negotiations and contract closures by providing technical and commercial assistance to the sales team.
  • Assist sales teams in proposal development, client presentations, pitch preparation, and RFP/RFI responses.
  • Develop customized presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept solutions to showcase Cisco value for banking environments.
  • Prepare quotations and commercial proposals on behalf of the sales team.
  • Respond to technical, functional, security, and compliance questionnaires from banking customers.
  • Support Account Managers throughout the complete sales cycle, from RFI/RFP stages through contract negotiation and closure.
  • Identify functional gaps during customer discussions and collaborate with technical and vendor teams to develop viable solutions.
  • Provide technical and business scoping support to sales representatives and validate proposed Cisco solutions for banking customers.
  • Assist in closing activities including pricing adjustments, SOW preparation, contract drafting, security questionnaires, and customized demo environments.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, Administration, Project Delivery, and Sales.
  • Collaborate with management on sales planning, forecasting, and business development strategies within banking accounts.
  • Work closely with architecture and delivery teams to ensure proposed Cisco solutions fully address banking technology and business requirements.
  • Develop and manage both technical and commercial proposals for banking opportunities.
  • Define and execute winning strategies for each banking opportunity.
  • Handle overall solution costing, prepare cost sheets, obtain approvals, manage order processing, and track delivery execution.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years of experience in Cisco Technical presale, sales engineering within banking customer environments.
  • Proven track record of success and strong technical solution expertise in a similar presales or sales engineering role.
