Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support technical sales opportunities assigned by the sales team, prioritizing efforts to maximize productivity, profitability, and customer success within the aviation sector.
  • Proactively assess airport and airline customer technical and operational requirements, identify infrastructure gaps, and recommend Cisco networking, security, wireless, and collaboration solutions that deliver measurable business value.
  • Engage with airport authorities, airlines, ground handling companies, aviation service providers, and other stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements and design solutions aligned with operational objectives.
  • Work closely with internal sales, presales, engineering, support, and service delivery teams to develop solutions that meet customer business and operational needs.
  • Achieve assigned targets for profitable sales growth across Cisco networking, security, data center, wireless, collaboration, and related technology portfolios.
  • Mentor and coach sales team members on Cisco technologies, solution positioning, and technical sales best practices.
  • Identify and develop additional opportunities within existing airport, airline, and aviation customer accounts while supporting account teams in driving opportunities to closure.
  • Consistently achieve assigned revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales engagement lifecycle.
  • Complete all required technical certifications, Cisco training, and professional development programs within assigned timelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with account managers, customers, partners, and Cisco teams throughout the complete sales lifecycle.
  • Support commercial negotiations and contract closures by providing technical expertise, solution validation, and commercial guidance.
  • Assist in preparing technical proposals, customer presentations, executive briefings, solution demonstrations, and responses to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
  • Develop customized presentations, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and live demonstrations showcasing Cisco solutions for airport operations, airline networks, terminal connectivity, passenger experience, and enterprise network environments.
  • Prepare quotations, Bills of Materials (BoMs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and commercial proposals in collaboration with sales teams.
  • Respond to customer technical, security, compliance, and architecture questionnaires.
  • Support Account Managers throughout the complete sales cycle, from opportunity qualification through proposal submission, technical validation, contract negotiation, and project handover.
  • Identify technical and operational gaps during customer engagements and collaborate with Cisco, vendor, and engineering teams to develop appropriate solutions.
  • Provide technical scoping, architecture validation, and solution design support for enterprise networking, cybersecurity, wireless, data center, cloud connectivity, SD-WAN, and network modernization initiatives.
  • Assist with pricing validation, solution costing, project documentation, technical approvals, security assessments, and customized demonstration environments.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, Procurement, Project Delivery, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Sales Operations.
  • Support management with sales planning, forecasting, pipeline management, and strategic business development initiatives focused on the aviation industry.
  • Collaborate with solution architects and delivery teams to ensure proposed Cisco solutions meet customer technical, operational, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive technical and commercial proposals for aviation infrastructure projects.
  • Define and execute winning strategies for strategic airport and airline opportunities.
  • Manage overall solution costing, prepare cost sheets, obtain internal approvals, coordinate order management, and monitor delivery milestones until project completion.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in Cisco technical presales, sales engineering, or solution consulting within large enterprise or strategic customer environments.
  • Proven experience supporting airport, airline, transportation, aviation, or enterprise-scale infrastructure customers.
  • Strong expertise in Cisco Enterprise Networking technologies including Routing & Switching, Software-Defined Networking (SD-Access), SD-WAN, Wireless (Catalyst/Meraki), Network Security, Firewalls, Cisco ISE, Secure Access, Data Center Networking (ACI/Nexus), Collaboration, and Cloud Networking.
  • Experience designing end-to-end Cisco solutions and presenting technical architectures to customer technical teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of high-availability network architectures and operational environments within airports or airlines.
  • Experience responding to RFPs/RFIs, preparing BoMs, solution designs, technical proposals, and commercial quotations.
  • Strong customer-facing presentation, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • are highly desirable.
  • Experience working with Cisco ecosystem partners and distributors is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and solution design capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel across the UAE and GCC to support customer engagements and business development activities.
