Chief Specialist, Asset Reliability

Role purpose

Enterprise reliability strategy and outcomes

• Shape enterprise asset reliability priorities, KPIs, and value outcomes across business units.
• Establish consistent reliability and maintenance decision principles focused on high-value risks and opportunities.
• Provide technical authority on asset reliability and influence operational and technology stakeholders.

Reliability performance and integrated solutions

• Translate performance, maintenance, and cost challenges into measurable improvement opportunities.
• Enable proactive, predictive, and risk-based maintenance decisions that improve reliability, maintainability, availability, and lifecycle value.
• Use asset performance insights to identify recurring constraints and focus on sustainable improvement.
• Connect asset health monitoring, diagnostics, maintenance planning, and operational execution in end-to-end solutions.
• Use performance and maintenance outcomes in closed-loop improvement of reliability decisions.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, interoperable, and aligned with operational and enterprise technology requirements.

Integration and technical leadership

• Align Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain stakeholders around asset criticality and reliability outcomes.
• Partner with analytics, AI, monitoring, and digital teams to deliver technology solutions for reliability needs.
• Integrate initiatives and designs to reduce fragmentation, support reuse, and accelerate enterprise adoption.
• Advance reliability practices and build team capability through technical guidance and knowledge transfer.

Minimum qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in asset reliability, maintenance, asset management, or industrial operations.
• Strong experience applying reliability engineering and maintenance strategies in asset-intensive environments.
• Experience using digital, analytics, or advanced technologies to improve reliability and maintenance outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to influence priorities and outcomes across functions or business units.
