Management position leading pastry operations and staff while personally preparing pastries and other food items.

Pastry team and operations
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate pastry staff, cooks, and food-preparation workers; manage daily operations and shifts.
- Personally prepare food items and pastries, fulfill specifications, and develop new ideas, products, and presentations.
- Train and develop employees, set expectations, maintain productivity, and encourage collaboration.
- Maintain food handling, storage, purchasing, receiving, temperature, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
- Check food quality and presentation and create decorative displays.
- Manage guest service quality, coach employees, and pursue continuous improvement.
- Set and achieve performance, team, and budget goals; manage supplies, inventory, waste, and loss prevention.
- Review staffing needs and support menu training, hiring, employee documentation, and meetings.
Education and experience
- Option 1: High school diploma or GED and four years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or a related professional area.
- Option 2: Two-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major and two years of relevant experience.

- Manage food safety, sanitation, inventory, purchasing, waste, budgets, staffing, and employee development.
