Lead a team within Intact's West Personal Lines Pricing Actuarial team, reporting to an actuarial manager.
The role combines people management with technical and project leadership in pricing work.
What you will do
- Lead, coach, and develop two to three actuarial analysts and foster an engaged, collaborative team.
- Lead and contribute to pricing analyses that support profitable growth and strong portfolio performance.
- Provide technical guidance and quality oversight and turn analytical findings into actionable pricing recommendations.
- Monitor portfolio results, identify trends and opportunities, and prioritize analysis and action.
- Plan and prioritize work; partner with underwriting, product, finance, data, and actuarial teams; represent pricing in cross-functional initiatives.
What you bring
- University degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or equivalent education and experience.
- FCAS or FCIA designation is an asset; at least five years of P&C experience, including one year of coaching, is a major asset.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of actuarial techniques.
- Leadership capabilities include strategic relationships, engagement, coaching, delegation, developing others, change facilitation, strategic decision-making, and planning.
