Role overview
The Chartered Accountant will lead finance across group entities and own statutory accounts, tax filings, consolidation, and management reporting.
The role supports leadership with clear financial insight and maintains compliance with HMRC and Companies House.
Responsibilities
- Prepare UK statutory accounts and Corporation Tax returns; lead month-end close and monthly management accounts.
- Manage multi-entity accounting and group consolidation; build and maintain cash flow forecasts.
- Own budgeting and forecasting cycles and run entities on Xero.
- Prepare board and management reports; handle Companies House and HMRC filings, VAT returns, and PAYE.
- Work with external auditors on year-end audits.
Required qualifications and experience
- Qualified CA or ACCA is mandatory, with at least 4–5 years of accounting or finance experience.
- Proven experience in UK statutory accounts and Corporation Tax; strong knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS.
- Experience with VAT returns and PAYE/payroll compliance.
- Strong multi-entity, multi-currency, and consolidation background; hands-on Xero experience, ideally multi-entity.
- Track record in board or management reporting.
Advantageous experience
- Healthcare, pharmacy, or regulated-industry experience is advantageous.
- EU VAT/OSS, UAE experience, and e-commerce/D2C experience are advantageous.
