Role Description

The Channel Development Manager is a part-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi, responsible for expanding and nurturing Dubai Magazine’s distribution and partnership channels.

This role involves identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new channel partners such as agencies, corporate subscribers, and retail outlets to increase audience reach and revenue.

The Channel Development Manager will manage partner accounts, coordinate sales initiatives, and support promotional campaigns to maximize channel performance.

Daily tasks include developing channel business plans, tracking sales metrics, collaborating with editorial and marketing teams on joint initiatives, and maintaining strong, professional relationships with partners.

The role requires regular on-site meetings, market research, and reporting on channel performance and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Channel development expertise, including Channel Sales and working with Channel Partners, with a focus on building and growing effective partner networks.
  • Commercial and strategic skills, including Business Planning and Sales, to design and execute sustainable channel strategies.
  • Relationship management capabilities, including Account Management, to maintain and grow long-term, mutually beneficial partner relationships.
  • Experience in media, publishing, or related industries is preferred, with familiarity in regional business markets in the UAE.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present proposals and influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Proficiency in using CRM and basic analytics tools to track partner performance and sales pipelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi, manage part-time hours effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a diverse environment.
