Role Description
This is a part time, on-site CCNA Trainer role based in Doha, Qatar.
The CCNA Trainer will deliver instructor-led classes aligned with Cisco’s CCNA curriculum, preparing learners for certification and practical networking roles.
Day-to-day responsibilities include planning lessons, developing lab exercises, configuring network devices for demonstrations, and providing hands-on guidance during practical sessions.
The trainer will assess learner performance through quizzes, labs, and mock exams, and provide constructive feedback and mentoring.
Additional duties include updating course materials to reflect current networking technologies, contributing to curriculum improvement, and collaborating with the training team to ensure high-quality learning outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing, and switching.
- Hands-on experience configuring Cisco routers, switches, and related network devices in lab or production environments.
- Proficiency in CCNA exam domains, including network access, IP connectivity, IP services, security fundamentals, and automation basics.
- Experience designing and delivering structured technical training, workshops, or corporate IT courses.
- Ability to create lab scenarios, practice exams, and learning resources that support different learning styles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and patiently.
- Strong classroom management, facilitation, and learner engagement skills in multicultural environments.
- Current CCNA (or higher Cisco certification such as CCNP) is required; additional networking or security certifications are an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated ability to stay current with emerging networking technologies, tools, and Cisco updates.
- Comfort working with learning management systems (LMS) and basic presentation tools for course delivery.
- Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered teaching and continuous improvement of training quality.
