Job Summary
The Category Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies for a specific product category, ensuring its growth and profitability.
This includes managing product assortment, pricing, promotional strategies, and optimizing inventory levels.
The Category Manager will also analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to ensure the category remains competitive and meets business objectives.
Education & Experience
-Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
-5+ years of experience in category management, product management, or sales in the food industry, with a proven track record of category growth and profitability.
-Previous experience working in food retail, FMCG, or foodservice is highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights.
Strong commercial acumen, with a solid understanding of pricing, profitability, and margin management.
Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and category management tools/software.
