A retail team is hiring a dedicated, customer-focused Cashier cum Salesman.
The role combines customer assistance, product promotion and sales, accurate cash transactions, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist with product selection; present, promote, and sell products to achieve sales targets.
- Handle cash, card, and other payments accurately; issue invoices and receipts and maintain billing records.
- Balance the cash counter at the start and end of each shift.
- Build positive customer relationships, respond to inquiries, and resolve complaints professionally.
- Maintain product displays, stock shelves, and keep the showroom organized; coordinate with team members on store operations.
- Report customer feedback, product inquiries, and sales trends to management.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, promotions, and company policies; assist with inventory checks and stock management when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cashier, Retail Salesman, or in a similar role.
- Good communication and customer-service skills; strong selling and negotiation abilities.
- Basic computer and billing/POS system knowledge; ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Good organizational and time-management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Positive attitude, well-groomed appearance, and team-oriented mindset.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is specified.
- Previous retail, showroom, supermarket, furniture, electronics, or similar sales experience is advantageous.
