Role overview

Full-time car mechanic role supporting a rental-car fleet at the company's Ras Al Khor, Dubai location.

The mechanic helps keep vehicles in working condition, minimize downtime, and ensure cars are safe and ready for rental.

Salary is AED 3,000–6,000 per month, based on experience and skills; one day off per week.

Vehicle maintenance and repairs

  • Perform routine servicing such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks; diagnose and repair mechanical issues.
  • Inspect engines, brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and other components; perform preventive maintenance.
  • Use diagnostic tools to identify warning lights, starting issues, overheating, unusual noises, and performance problems.
  • Inspect vehicles before and after repairs and recommend suitable repair solutions.

Fleet and workshop responsibilities

  • Follow service schedules; coordinate vehicle availability and repair priorities with fleet and operations teams.
  • Report major issues, recommend replacement parts, and maintain service, repair, and spare-parts records.
  • Ensure vehicles are roadworthy and ready for rental after repairs.
  • Follow workshop safety and tool-handling procedures; meet repair quality standards and keep the workshop organized.
  • Complete jobs within required time frames.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Two to five years of hands-on experience as a car mechanic.
  • A diploma, certificate, or technical qualification in Automotive Technology or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Car rental or automotive workshop experience is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems and maintenance; ability to diagnose faults and repair independently.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and automotive equipment; knowledge of preventive maintenance and fleet servicing.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple repair jobs; responsible attitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

Schedule

  • One day off per week.

Workplace

  • The role is based at Ras Al Khor, Dubai, and involves hands-on workshop and vehicle maintenance duties.
