Capability Manager - Commercial Capability

Role overview

Key accountabilities

• Develop commercial capability to meet current and future business needs.
• Design, implement and embed capability frameworks, processes and tools that drive consistency, efficiency and best practice.
• Deliver capability-improvement projects and use data and insights to identify opportunities, measure success and inform decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement and practical change; build stakeholder relationships, provide expert advice and influence commercial objectives.

Essential experience and skills

• Experience in procurement and commercial processes, including sourcing, category management, contract management and commercial governance.
• Experience delivering commercial, procurement or business-improvement initiatives in a complex organisation.
• Project and programme management skills, including managing workstreams, priorities, risks and stakeholders.
• Experience developing and embedding commercial processes and frameworks.
• Commercial acumen, stakeholder influence, analytical skills, and use of data and performance metrics.
• Experience across the end-to-end commercial lifecycle; ability to lead change, drive adoption and deliver sustainable improvement.

Workplace

• Hybrid working at Palestra, with 50% of time split between office and home over a four-week period; arrangements may evolve with business needs.

Compensation and contract

• Salary is approximately £60,000.
• Contract details state permanent; the contract type field is listed as TfL.
