Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and skilled Part-Time Cake Artist to design, decorate, and finish custom cakes and desserts for special occasions.
The ideal candidate has experience in cake decorating, attention to detail, and a passion for creating visually appealing edible art.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and decorate cakes according to customer requirements and company standards.
- Work with fondant, buttercream, royal icing, sugar flowers, and other decorative techniques.
- Prepare and assemble cakes for birthdays, weddings, corporate events, and special occasions.
- Ensure all products meet quality, presentation, and food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment.
- Assist with cake consultations and provide creative design suggestions to customers.
- Manage decorating supplies and report inventory needs.
- Meet production schedules and deadlines, especially during peak periods.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in cake decorating, pastry arts, or a related field.
- Knowledge of various cake decorating techniques and tools.
- Strong artistic and creative abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays if required.
Working Hours
- Part-time schedule (hours to be determined based on business needs).
- May include evenings, weekends, and special event periods.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry baking supplies and decorated cakes when necessary.
Salary
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience and skill level.
