Buyer - Pre owned Mobiles

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for building and managing a strong, trend-led, and commercially profitable assortment within the category. This role plays a critical part in driving sales, margin, and inventory performance by identifying market opportunities, sourcing the right brands and products, and ensuring competitive pricing. The Buyer will work closely with brand partners, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver a compelling customer offering aligned with Ourshopee’s growth strategy, this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a sharp understanding of customer behaviour and extensive vendor database and relations.

Support in sourcing new suppliers and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Negotiate commercial terms, including cost prices, rebates, marketing contributions, and favourable payment terms.

Develop and execute the buying strategy for assigned categories in line with business objectives.

Identify and onboard new brands and suppliers to strengthen assortment and drive category growth.

Analyse sales data, customer trends, and market insights to make informed buying decisions.

Help define assortment mix by category, style, and price point.

Work closely with category manager to forecast demand and manage intake quantities.

Maintain accurate buying sheets and product data.

Manage seasonal assortment planning, product selection, pricing, and margin targets.

Monitor inventory levels, sell-through rates, and stock aging to optimize availability and minimize markdowns.

Collaborate with marketing and supply chain teams to ensure successful product launches and campaigns.

Monitor weekly sales, sell-through, margin, and stock performance**.**

Identify bestsellers, slow movers, and re-buy opportunities**.**

Prepare performance reports and seasonal review presentations**.**

Track competitor activity and pricing to maintain strong market positioning.

Forecast demand and plan purchases to meet revenue and profitability targets.

Build and maintain strong relationships with brand partners and key stakeholders.

Conduct ongoing competitor analysis and trend research across regional markets.

Translate trends into commercial product recommendations suitable for the Middle Eastern customer.

Collaborate with Marketing and Content teams to support product launches and promotional campaigns.

Ensure timely product readiness and accurate catalogue information.

Work closely with the Customer Service team to recommend suitable alternatives when required.

Reduce order cancellations and refund cases through proactive coordination.

Review and confirm incoming customer orders.

Source the correct products at the most competitive prices and coordinate with vendors and the logistics team to ensure timely procurement and fulfilment.

Coordinate with Logistics and Operations teams to ensure smooth product movement from supplier to warehouse and onward to the customer.

Maintain efficiency and accuracy across the fulfilment process.

Bachelor’s degree in business, or a related field.

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Buying, Merchandising (retail or e-commerce preferred).

Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of achieving revenue and margin targets.

Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.

Strong analytical skills with experience working with sales and performance data, Proficiency in Excel.

Good understanding of trends, market dynamics, and consumer behaviour in the GCC region.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong understanding of retail math, margin structure, and pricing strategy.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
