Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced **Butcher** to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing meat products according to company standards while maintaining high levels of hygiene, quality, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, and prepare meat (beef, lamb, chicken, Fish) as per required specifications
- Portion meat accurately for kitchen or customer orders
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of stock (FIFO)
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the work area and equipment
- Inspect meat quality and report any issues to the supervisor
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and chefs for daily requirements
- Minimize wastage and ensure efficient use of products
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Butcher or in a similar role
- Knowledge of different meat cuts and preparation techniques
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to use cutting tools and machinery safely
- Physically fit and able to work in cold environments
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Valid QID and transferable visa (if applicable)
