About the role
Join the L3Harris WESCAM Manufacturing Engineering team as the primary business interface for an internally developed manufacturing execution system (MES).
Support application bugs, maintenance, user concerns, and process improvements; become the application subject-matter expert.
The role offers an opportunity to expand data visibility through Power BI dashboards.
Primary responsibilities
- Provide frontline MES support, manage tickets, coordinate issue resolution, and document bugs and improvement suggestions.
- Own the support-request ticketing system and coordinate support coverage across shifts.
- Elicit business needs, document requirements, and guide stakeholders through the software development life cycle.
- Lead or participate in IT and operations projects; design test plans and support testing for new features.
- Coordinate feature prioritization with the MES Product Owner and share system status, ticket progress, and upcoming changes with operations stakeholders.
- Analyze data and root causes, recommend process improvements, and identify opportunities to improve system usability and performance.
- Maintain application and user-facing documentation; support downtime and high-impact incidents.
- Collaborate on automation, including BI reports, and gather change requirements from shop-floor stakeholders.
Desired skills and knowledge
- Advanced Microsoft tools, especially DevOps, Excel, Power BI, T-SQL, and Visio.
- Knowledge of Agile methods; certification is an asset.
- Experience with software testing, test-plan creation, bug documentation, Agile workflows, and support-ticket pipelines.
- Project-management, planning, organization, facilitation, and technical communication skills.
- Able to explain technical information to nontechnical stakeholders, manage priorities, take initiative, and work independently.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing, and business systems architecture.
- Proficiency in Power BI or equivalent tools; able to make data-supported recommendations.

- Advanced user of Microsoft tools, with emphasis on DevOps, Excel, Power BI, T-SQL, and Visio.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies; certification is an asset.
- Experience with software testing, test-plan creation, and bug documentation.

- Proficiency in Power BI or equivalent tools.
