Role overview

Supports and serves as a technical expert for business systems managed by Business Solutions.

Gathers business requirements and develops solutions and specifications, including work involving testing and development.

Works with business units, IT application development teams, shared services, infrastructure teams, and project teams.

Systems and project responsibilities

  • Support business systems, resolve complex and escalated issues within SLAs, and improve system processes and end-user experience.
  • Develop system modifications and enhancements; analyze data and provide systems expertise to business units.
  • Document requirements, specifications, reports, project plans, and process improvements; monitor compliance and change control.
  • Evaluate systems using data, user input, and testing, and communicate patterns and improvement opportunities to senior management.
  • Act as IT liaison and business-area subject matter expert for data, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Coordinate information gathering for audits and examinations by governing bodies, including NCUA.
  • Manage UAT and system testing for upgrades and releases; prepare test plans and criteria, analyze results, and coordinate hot fixes and releases.
  • Support SDLC project work, coordinate deliverables and testing, and create project dashboards or charts as needed.

Education and experience

  • Requires a related bachelor's degree, Business or Systems Analyst certificate, or 3+ years in a credit union or relevant experience with DNA, Loan Director, or other Business Solutions core systems.
  • Requires experience with Business Solutions applications and recommending changes to improve efficiency and technology use.
  • Requires experience translating conceptual business needs into implementable solutions and strong collaborative interpersonal skills.

Tools and methodologies

  • Working knowledge of Atlassian tools, especially Jira and Confluence, as well as Smartsheet, Salesforce, and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Zoom.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or similar flowcharting software.
  • Project work may use Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Lean, or hybrid SDLC approaches.

Compensation

  • Starting pay range is $70,000–$75,000; the offer depends on relevant experience, industry experience, education, and other qualifying factors.
