Role Description
This is a part-time, hybrid Business Manager role based in Dubai, with flexibility for some work from home.
The Business Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, including coordinating organizational activities, managing budgets, and supporting strategic planning.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining partnerships with scientific and industry stakeholders, preparing reports and presentations, and assisting in organizing events, workshops, and educational initiatives.
The role involves managing communication channels, supporting fundraising or grant applications, and ensuring compliance with internal processes.
The Business Manager will work closely with leadership and scientific teams to align operational efforts with Phage Arab’s mission and long-term goals.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in business or operations management, preferably in a scientific, healthcare, or nonprofit environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a part-time setting.
- Proficiency in basic financial management, budgeting, and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with scientists, partners, and external stakeholders.
- Comfort with remote collaboration tools and standard office software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation tools, project trackers).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Life Sciences, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Interest in phage therapy, biomedical innovation, or scientific collaboration and a strong commitment to Phage Arab’s mission.
