Role Description
This is a part-time, hybrid Account Manager role based in Abu Dhabi, with flexibility for partial work-from-home.
The Account Manager will manage relationships with partner institutions, research groups, and individual members, ensuring timely communication and high levels of engagement.
Daily tasks include responding to inquiries, coordinating meetings, maintaining accurate contact and account records, and supporting the onboarding of new partners and collaborators.
The role involves preparing simple proposals, follow-up emails, and summaries of discussions, as well as tracking commitments, deadlines, and partnership milestones.
The Account Manager will also collaborate with internal team members to support events, educational activities, and initiatives that promote phage therapy across the region.
Qualifications
- Proven relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust, understand stakeholder needs, and maintain long-term partnerships.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal); Arabic proficiency is highly beneficial.
- Experience in a coordination, account management, or customer-facing role, preferably in a scientific, healthcare, or nonprofit environment.
- Organizational and time-management skills, including maintaining accurate records, managing multiple accounts, and meeting deadlines in a part-time setting.
- Comfort with digital tools such as email platforms, video conferencing, basic CRM or spreadsheets, and collaborative document tools.
- Interest in or familiarity with phage therapy, microbiology, or related life sciences is an advantage, with willingness to learn about the field.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setup in Abu Dhabi, collaborating both onsite and remotely with a distributed team.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Communications, Life Sciences, or related discipline) or equivalent practical experience.
