Role Description
This is a part-time, hybrid Business Manager role based in Dubai, with flexibility to work remotely for part of the week.
The Business Manager will oversee day-to-day operational functions, including coordination of projects, events, and partnerships that support the phage therapy community.
Responsibilities include managing budgets, tracking expenses, and supporting fundraising, grants, and sponsorship efforts.
The role will also involve maintaining stakeholder relationships, preparing reports and presentations, and ensuring clear internal and external communication.
The Business Manager will collaborate closely with scientific and organizational leaders to align operational plans with the group’s strategic goals.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and operational skills, including project coordination, scheduling, and basic budgeting.
- Business and strategic planning capabilities, with experience in setting goals, tracking priorities, and supporting growth initiatives.
- Effective communication and relationship management skills to engage with scientists, partners, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
- Experience or interest in healthcare, life sciences, or research environments; familiarity with phage therapy or related fields is an advantage.
- Proficiency with productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, online collaboration platforms) and comfort working in a hybrid setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, public health, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain high standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
