Improve demand-forecast accuracy and enable partner teams and customers to optimize supply-chain decisions.
Work with data engineering, data science, program, product, science, and engineering partners using rich datasets and tools.
Key responsibilities
- Identify improvement opportunities and partner with product, science, and engineering teams on complex forecasting solutions.
- Work with machine-learning and research scientists on forecasting challenges for new businesses.
- Detect, diagnose, and correct forecast problems; generate metrics and insights.
- Communicate with retail customers and downstream systems teams.
- Develop reporting mechanisms for internal and external teams.
Basic qualifications
- 3+ years analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, or similar systems.
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, ETL pipelines, and data visualization using Tableau, QuickSight, or similar tools.
- Experience writing complex SQL queries and using SQL to extract data from databases or warehouses.
- Experience with statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, or MATLAB.
- Python scripting experience processing data for modeling.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
- Experience in data mining, ETL, and databases in business environments with large-scale, complex datasets.
Compensation
- Base salary is CAD 76,400–127,600 annually for Toronto, Ontario; total compensation may include sign-on payments and restricted stock units.
- Benefits include health coverage, RRSP, DPSP, and paid time off.
