Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain BI reports, dashboards, and metrics aligned with strategic and operational goals.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and partner with data and analytics teams on BI solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, governance, and consistency with enterprise data standards and architecture.
- Monitor KPIs for trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct ad hoc and deep-dive analyses for leadership decisions and business initiatives.
- Present insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Guide business users on BI tools, data interpretation, and best practices.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on BI report, dashboard, and scorecard delivery using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Proficiency in querying, transforming, and modeling data with SQL and related languages such as DAX, Power Query, or M.
- Experience with end-to-end BI solutions, including ETL, relational databases, data warehouses, and cloud data platforms.
- Ability to work with complex datasets, translate business needs into scalable insights, and maintain data quality and governance.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- English proficiency is required.
Preferred qualifications
- Python or R for advanced analytics or automation is a plus.
- Exposure to machine learning or predictive analytics in BI workflows is a plus.
- Experience training or mentoring business users on BI tools and data literacy is a plus.
- French-English bilingualism is a plus.
Compensation
- Base salary range: CAD 59,688–91,109; no pay cadence is specified.
- Eligible employees may receive a discretionary target bonus.
