Serve as an analytics partner to the Education function, turning data into insights that support outcomes for students and schools.
Work within the Education team while reporting to the central data function.
Use data held in Databricks and trusted enterprise data models to create analysis, dashboards, and reports.
Responsibilities
- Build stakeholder relationships and translate business questions into analytical solutions.
- Develop Power BI dashboards and reports using enterprise data models.
- Analyse academic, attendance, wellbeing, pastoral, and destination data from school systems.
- Combine quantitative and qualitative insights to evaluate educational performance and support decisions.
- Support data quality and governance and contribute to Cognita's Performance Framework and Intelligence Centre.
- Identify potential AI-powered decision-support tools and champion data literacy and evidence-based practice.
Candidate requirements
- 3–5 years' experience in a business-facing analytics, insight, or BI role.
- Strong SQL skills and advanced Power BI expertise.
- Experience engaging stakeholders, including school leaders and academic teams.
- Experience handling sensitive pupil, safeguarding, and school data with discretion and understanding of data protection requirements.
- Comfort working in Agile environments, gathering requirements, managing priorities, and communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable qualifications and experience
- Education, schools, or edtech experience is ideal.
- Understanding of attainment, progress, and value-add measures is highly desirable.
- A relevant degree and Microsoft Power BI certification would be advantageous.
Working arrangement
- Four days per week in the Dubai office and one day working from home.
