Business Development Specialist – HVAC Systems (Oil & Gas Sector)
Position Overview
Business Development Specialist for HVAC Systems within the Oil & Gas sector is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and promoting technical HVAC solutions.
This role demands strong technical understanding of industrial HVAC systems, compliance requirements for hazardous environments, and the ability to build trusted relationships with EPCs, end‑users, and contractors in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and target new business opportunities within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Conduct market research on upcoming projects, tenders, and maintenance contracts related to HVAC systems.
- Conduct client visits, presentations, and technical discussions with project engineers, procurement teams, and facility managers
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, and opportunity status updates
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field (preferred).
- 3–7 years of experience in Business Development or Sales within HVAC or mechanical systems.
- Strong exposure to the Oil & Gas sector (onshore/offshore) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of industrial HVAC systems, hazardous area classifications, and engineering standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, API, ISO).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC equipment and engineering drawings.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Customer‑centric approach with strong problem‑solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines.
