Overview
We are looking for a motivated and target-driven **Business Development Officer** with experience in exhibition stand sales, events, and client relationship management.
The role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, meeting clients, preparing proposals, and closing sales for exhibition stands, event structures, and related services.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the exhibitions and events industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the exhibitions, events, and corporate sectors.
- Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, exhibitions, online platforms, and client visits.
- Meet potential clients to understand their exhibition stand requirements, budget, branding needs, and project timeline.
- Promote the company’s exhibition stand design, fabrication, installation, and event solutions.
- Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, presentations, and sales offers in coordination with the design and production teams.
- Follow up with clients on submitted proposals and negotiate commercial terms to close deals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Coordinate internally with design, estimation, production, and project teams to ensure client requirements are clearly communicated.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming exhibitions/events.
- Maintain an updated sales pipeline, client database, and weekly sales reports.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets set by management.
- Ensure client satisfaction before, during, and after project delivery to encourage repeat business.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development / sales, preferably in exhibition stands, events, interiors, signage, fit-out, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of the exhibition stand sales process, including design, quotation, fabrication, and installation coordination.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to generate leads and convert them into confirmed projects.
- Strong client relationship management skills.
- Target-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
- Good knowledge of the UAE exhibitions and events market is preferred.
- UAE driving license is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of CRM systems is an advantage.
