Business Development Manager

Role overview

Business development and client relationships

• Develop and implement growth-focused marketing and business-development strategies.
• Identify opportunities in oil and gas, EPC, engineering and industrial sectors; research prospective clients, contractors, consultants and projects across the UAE and GCC.
• Develop relationships with current and prospective clients and coordinate opportunity follow-up with sales and management.
• Monitor upcoming oil and gas and infrastructure projects for potential business.
• Arrange client meetings and support management during client visits; represent the company professionally with clients and industry stakeholders.

Marketing, research and coordination

• Prepare company presentations, marketing materials, capability statements and client proposals.
• Coordinate exhibitions, conferences, industry events and client meetings.
• Research markets and monitor competitors, industry developments and customer requirements.
• Maintain databases of clients, prospects, projects and opportunities.
• Follow up on quotations, enquiries and opportunities; prepare regular marketing and business-development reports.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely responses to client requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field; the application section states a bachelor’s degree is required.
• 3–5 years of relevant marketing/business-development experience; application section specifies 3 years of business-development experience as required.
• Oil and gas, EPC, engineering, industrial services or technical trading experience is preferred; experience with oil and gas companies, EPC contractors, consultants or industrial clients is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of the UAE/GCC oil and gas market; strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills; ability to maintain professional client relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; self-motivated, commercially aware and target-oriented.
• Willingness to travel within the UAE and GCC; valid UAE driving licence is mandatory; English is required.
• An existing UAE client network is an advantage.

Pay

• Pay starts at AED 4,000 per month.

• Work location is in person in Dubai, UAE.
