Job purpose
Develop SME client relationships, promote insurance products, and achieve sales, new-business, and retention targets.
Generate new business, maximize cross-selling, provide post-sale support, and grow the managed portfolio.
Represent GIG Gulf in the market and support client relationship management in service and retention.
Key responsibilities
- Independently prospect for new clients, business opportunities, and distribution channels.
- Develop and maintain relationships with SME, large, and key customers and internal stakeholders.
- Use CRM, quote registers, new-business leads, and personal-lines leads to identify sales prospects.
- Build relationships across the insurance and business community; respond to enquiries and tenders and convert opportunities into sales.
- Manage time and client records effectively, analyze sales activity, and support sales planning.
- Ensure premiums are collected under company terms and liaise with credit control to minimize outstanding debt.
- Work with underwriting teams to supply complete underwriting information and available competitor and market information.
Essential requirements
- At least 3 years of UAE insurance experience.
- Sound knowledge of SME insurance products available in the market.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated record of achieving sales targets or objectives.
- A forward-looking approach to digital solutions that can foster growth.
