Role Description
This is a part-time, hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi, with a mix of on-site work and the flexibility to work from home.
The Business Continuity Manager will design, implement, and maintain business continuity and resilience frameworks aligned with the Society’s activities and regional operations.
Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting business impact analyses, developing continuity plans, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure readiness for disruptions.
The role will organize and lead continuity exercises, simulations, and training sessions to build awareness and capability across the branch and relevant partners.
The Business Continuity Manager will also monitor emerging risks, update continuity documentation, and provide regular reports and recommendations to leadership on resilience and recovery strategies.
Qualifications
- Strong capability in Business Continuity Planning and Business Continuity, including development, implementation, and periodic review of continuity frameworks and procedures.
- Experience in Business Resilience and Enterprise Risk Management, with the ability to integrate continuity measures into broader risk and resilience strategies.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills, including conducting business impact analyses, risk assessments, and scenario planning.
- Experience leading training, workshops, or exercises related to crisis management, emergency response, or continuity preparedness.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and disciplines.
- Relevant academic background in business, engineering, risk management, or a related field; professional certifications in business continuity or risk (e.g., CBCI, CBCP, ISO 22301-related) are an advantage.
- Familiarity with aerospace, aviation, or high-reliability environments is beneficial, as is experience working in international or membership-based organizations.
