Business Analyst in Slalom's Delivery practice, responsible for requirements management and business analysis with a focus on quality assurance.
The role safeguards customer requirements from discovery through testing and implementation to deliver solutions that meet client needs.
Requirements and analysis
- Elicit and document functional and non-functional requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process analysis.
- Create and maintain process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria, and user story catalogues.
- Align stakeholder understanding of current-state and future-state processes.
Backlog and testing
- Refine and prioritise user stories with product owners, technical leads, and developers.
- Ensure stories are clear, testable, and aligned with business objectives.
- Support test-script development, execute test cycles, validate outputs, and manage defects with developers.
Quality and delivery
- Promote strong requirements management and quality assurance practices in agile teams.
- Address risks and gaps in requirements traceability and test coverage.
- Maintain understanding of customer needs throughout discovery and delivery.
Qualifications and experience
- Proven Business Analyst experience on software delivery projects.
- Hands-on agile experience developing user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience with agile development tools, development teams, and functional testing support.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, analytical, and detail-oriented skills; focus on quality outcomes.
- Consulting background.
Preferred skills and experience
- Experience with requirements, user stories, and testing on delivery projects; no specific platform is required.
- Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban is preferred.
- Balancing business analysis with hands-on quality assurance and experience on large complex testing-focused programmes are preferred.
